Your photos and page resources
Your private photos, and the details that bring a page to life.
In Chrome, Edge and Brave, import photos through the Local tab and design without uploading their pixels or thumbnails. Browse your uploaded photos separately in the image library. When photo collections are enabled, search for page backgrounds, save favorites and keep photographer credit. Colors, gradients, shapes and frames give every page its own character.
Private
Some memories belong on your own computer
Import through the Local tab in Chrome, Edge and Brave.
Open a folder or choose files through the Local tab, and use the photos without uploading them. The photos and thumbnails stay in your browser on this device; the shared design stores a reference, filename and dimensions, so collaborators on another device do not receive the pixels. Your local library keeps folders, search and imported photos for reuse across projects. Previews, saved versions, shared views and copy and paste do not carry their pixels. When an operation needs uploaded images, you decide through a dialog that lists the selected photos. Local-tab imports require Chrome, Edge or Brave, and browser exports can use the local copies without uploading them.
The tools in this part of Designer
Your Local-tab photos stay on your computer
Design with private photos in Chrome, Edge and Brave, without uploading them.
Open files or a folder through the Local tab and start designing with photos kept in your browser on this device. Their pixels and thumbnails are not sent to collaborators; the shared design stores only a reference, filename and dimensions. Search your local folders and reuse imported photos in other projects. If you choose to upload, a confirmation dialog shows exactly which selected images will leave the device.
Photos and design resources
Give every page its own setting, color and character.
Search thousands of photos for page backgrounds from Pixabay, Pexels, Unsplash and our own curated collection when each collection is enabled, and choose one for a whole page or either side of a spread. Save favorites and keep photographer attribution with the photo. Add solid colors or linear, radial and conic gradients, work with five ready-made palettes and twelve recent colors, and search the shape library by name, tag or category. Decorative, geometric and organic frames bring another way to make each photo belong.
Your uploaded-photo library is separate from background search. Browse folders, preview photos, insert them into the design or use them as backgrounds. Uploads are different from the Local tab, whose photos stay on the device until you confirm uploading the selected images. The Local tab requires Chrome, Edge or Brave.
For page backgrounds, search photos from Pixabay, Pexels, Unsplash and our own curated collection when each collection is enabled. Apply a photo to the page or one side of a spread, save favorites and keep photographer credit. Choose linear, radial or conic gradients and adjust the type, angle and colors of existing stops. Five palettes and twelve recent colors help you reuse a look.
Bring your next memory to the canvas
Start with a page or a template, invite the people who were there, and shape the photos and stories together. When you are happy with the design, export the file from the editor.
